The Joker is a fictional supervillain appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. He is primarily known as the archenemy of Batman.

The Joker first appeared in *Batman* #1 (Spring 1940) - although there is some debate as to who created the character, with credit given to Jerry Robinson, Bob Kane, and Bill Finger.

This LEGO incarnation of the Joker, referenced by 76013, is part of the DC Comics Super Heroes line. This set shows the Joker in a slightly more simplified form than some other versions, but retains his iconic green hair, purple suit and maniacal grin.
